Barboza comes to the cage accompanied by Angel Of Death. Johnson has chosen Don't say nuthin' as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson lands a right hook to the body.
Barboza avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A little feinted left hand from Barboza on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Barboza slips under a jab.
Barboza attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Johnson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Barboza tries to land a front kick but Johnson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Johnson wants to slow Barboza down by chopping away at his legs.
Barboza throws a wild body kick that Johnson sees coming a mile off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Barboza throws a half hearted mid kick.
Barboza has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Johnson misses the body punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Barboza jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Barboza throws a lazy right hand but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Johnson lands a nice shot to the body.
Barboza moves out of range of the strikes.
Johnson looks to throw the jab but Barboza is out of range.
Johnson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Barboza throws out a leg kick but Johnson moves out of range and Barboza only half commits.
Johnson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Barboza throws a body punch but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Johnson digs a good hook to Barboza's body.
Barboza is breathing heavily.
Barboza wants to land a leg kick but Johnson is out of range.
Johnson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Johnson lands with an uppercut that bounces Barboza off the cage and back into range.

It looks like Bento Barboza has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Johnson cracks Barboza with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Johnson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Barboza to stand back up!
A solid leg kick lands there for Johnson.

Johnson drops Barboza with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Barboza looks back up at him and smiles so Johnson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Johnson is stalking Barboza. Barboza circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Johnson, and it's lights out! Barboza really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
