Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dedrick Havoc (ranked 951 p4p, 1485 weight class) and Corey Nemec (ranked 147 p4p, 225 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dedrick Havoc!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Corey Nemec!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Havoc tries to clinch up but Nemec circles away and keeps his distance.

Nemec throws a jab but it's blocked by Havoc.
Havoc is looking to counter the offense by Nemec and move into the clinch.

Nemec lands an elbow just above Havoc 's eye.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Nemec is pushing Havoc up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Havoc pulls guard effortlessly.

Havoc has his foot on Nemec's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nemec works his way back into a safe position though.

Havoc gets control of Nemec's arms and successfully pulls guard. Havoc will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Nemec gets to his feet - Havoc follows without any prompting.
Nemec darts in and clinches Havoc up against the cage.
Havoc tries to pull guard but Nemec forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Nemec throws an elbow that misses.
Nemec comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Nemec stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Havoc tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nemec just stands there and leans against the cage.
Havoc blocks the elbow strike.
Havoc jumps guard but Nemec stands there with Havoc around his waist. Havoc gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dedrick Havoc. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nemec lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Nemec wants to pass the guard but Havoc is keeping the position.
Havoc manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nemec manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nemec can do anything to dispel that myth.
Havoc slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Nemec might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Havoc haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Nemec tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Havoc looking to control but Nemec is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Havoc takes Nemec's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Nemec is in trouble.
Havoc is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Nemec has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Havoc has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Nemec taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Havoc doesn't care though - he's delighted!
