Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yodmongkol Sitsongrit (ranked 3409 p4p, 3561 weight class) and Corin David (ranked 408 p4p, 420 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sitsongrit gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows David to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sitsongrit trying to keep a closed guard but David is proving a slippery customer.
David postures up in Sitsongrit's guard and throws a big left but Sitsongrit blocks it.
David advances position into side control!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
David tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Sitsongrit tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but David presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Sitsongrit's coaches at Sitsongrit Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

David is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Sitsongrit. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

David is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Sitsongrit defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

David has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Sitsongrit! Can he survive? No! He's out! David gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
