Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ubungu Bamboo Face!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eron Saunders!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saunders scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bamboo Face doesn't seem bothered though.
Bamboo Face circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Saunders looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bamboo Face seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Saunders looks to clinch
and Bamboo Face counters with a nice double leg into side control. Saunders won't be happy with that.
Saunders is not content to let Bamboo Face control the position.
Bamboo Face postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bamboo Face sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Saunders is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Bamboo Face cracks Saunders with a big elbow.
Bamboo Face throws an elbow but Saunders slips to the side and avoids it well.
Bamboo Face throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Saunders works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Bamboo Face misses with a head shot. Saunders uses the momentum to regain guard.
Bamboo Face is pushing down on Saunders's leg trying to pass to half guard. Saunders is fighting to maintain full guard but Bamboo Face has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bamboo Face accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Saunders has momentary wrist control but Bamboo Face slips an elbow through the middle.

Saunders is rocked!
Bamboo Face arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Saunders's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ubungu Bamboo Face!
Our winner, Ubungu Bamboo Face, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
