The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hudak fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

and Goon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hudak shoots in for a double leg but Goon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

It looked like Goon was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Hudak throws out a loose jab but Goon uses good head movement to avoid it.

Hudak goes for a double leg but Goon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Goon continues to drive forward.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hudak is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Goon rather than just go for the knockout.

Hudak throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Goon was covering up waiting for the punch and Hudak finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hudak sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Goon's guard.

Hudak is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Goon sees it coming and defends easily.
Hudak is keen to just control but Goon is a slippery customer.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Goon is squirming around, avoiding Hudak's attempts to control the action.
Hudak has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Doom's Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Hudak goes for an armbar but Goon turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Goon.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

and Goon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hudak misses with a takedown
and Goon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Hudak displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Goon throws out the jab.
Goon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hudak can do to turn this around?

Hudak shoots for a double leg takedown but Goon sprawls well. He's pushed Hudak's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hudak changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Goon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hudak has an Americana. Goon didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hudak is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hudak hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
