McGregor kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Foggy Dew. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Despite the aggression on Duterte's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
McGregor throws a left and a right that both miss
and Duterte counters with a series of strikes. McGregor will be more careful next time no doubt.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from McGregor! Duterte is out on his feet! McGregor rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Duterte is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Duterte is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Conor McGregor decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
