The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honkanen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Honkanen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tassen backs up against the cage.

It looks like Lee Tassen has been cut.

Honkanen looking to score a takedown here. Tassen is defending well but Honkanen drives through and ends up in Tassen's guard.
Honkanen wants to pass the guard but Tassen is keeping the position.
Tassen wants to stand but Honkanen is controlling the position.
Tassen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Honkanen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tassen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tassen has escaped and now he's on top!

Tassen wants to get up but he can't break Honkanen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Honkanen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Honkanen has a closed guard, preventing Tassen from standing up.
Tassen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Honkanen has control of Tassen's left arm, preventing Tassen from doing any damage.
Tassen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Honkanen is proving hard to escape from.

Honkanen is looking for a triangle but Tassen pushes his legs off easily.

Honkanen has gone for a leg lock! Tassen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Honkanen's guard.

Honkanen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Tassen has picked Honkanen up and slammed him! Honkanen can't keep hold of the triangle and Tassen manages to pass to side control!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Honkanen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tassen pulls his head out easily.
Honkanen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Honkanen has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Tassen should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Honkanen has tightened it up now! Tassen should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
