The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzgerald moves out of range as Pjetlic strikes.
Fitzgerald is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Pjetlic with a body shot.

Fitzgerald gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Pjetlic uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Fitzgerald bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pjetlic jabs Fitzgerald to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Pjetlic looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Pjetlic throws a body shot but no joy.

Fitzgerald turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Fitzgerald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pjetlic paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Fitzgerald moves forwards but Pjetlic connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Fitzgerald fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Maro Pjetlic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pjetlic lands with a straight right. Fitzgerald didn't see that one coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pjetlic lands a big uppercut and Fitzgerald crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Fitzgerald looks OK. Pjetlic waves Fitzgerald back to his feet!

Fitzgerald is rocked!

It looks like Boyd Fitzgerald has been cut.
Fitzgerald staying out of range there.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Pjetlic engages and cracks Fitzgerald with a massive lead left hook - Fitzgerald tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Pjetlic is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
