Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Herb Green (ranked 1736 p4p, 2627 weight class) and Charles Murdock (ranked 258 p4p, 361 weight class). Murdock has chosen Feel good Inc. as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Herb Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charles Murdock!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murdock ducks under a wild hook from Green.
Green cracks Murdock with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Murdock on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Green circles away from the clinch attempt.
Green fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A good leg kick by Green.
Crunch! Green slams his shin into Murdock's torso.
Green is looking to clinch.
Murdock defending well as Green loads up on a big left hand.
Murdock checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Murdock moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Green has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Primal Concrete Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Green shoots in and gets a takedown into Murdock's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Green drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Green jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Murdock pulls Green in to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Murdock wants to sweep here but Green controlling him for the moment.
Green trying to control but Murdock is working from the bottom.
Green missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Murdock wants to stand and escape but Green is having none of it.
Green is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Murdock keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Green cracks Murdock with a good jab.
Green throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Murdock counters with a right hand to the body.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Murdock checks a leg kick.
Green throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Green comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Murdock keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Green gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Murdock counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Green closes the distance and pushes Murdock back into the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Murdock fails to land.
Murdock prevents a body shot from Green.
Green fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Murdock lands with a light punch inside.
A right handed body shot lands from Murdock.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Green can't get the takedown.
Green tries to throw a body punch but Murdock avoids it by throwing Green back against the cage.
Green tries to pull guard but Murdock won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herb Green. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Green scores with a hook to the body.

Murdock goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Murdock makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Murdock has a couple of punches blocked by Green.

Murdock manages to break the clinch.
The fighters circling - Green throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Green throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Murdock's waist but Murdock gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Green off to one side.

Murdock rushes Green and presses him up against the cage.

Murdock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Murdock throws a body punch but Green moves out of range.
Green half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Herb Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murdock throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Green tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Murdock swivels and escapes.
Green takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Green jabs Murdock to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Murdock getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Green walks into a left hand.

Murdock tries to move into range but Green moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Murdock connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Green momentarily.

Green is rocked!
Murdock throws an uppercut from hell that sends Green clean off his feet! He's out cold! Murdock stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
