Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hua Wie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hilo Beach Bum!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beach Bum misses with a hook
and Wie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Beach Bum is looking to sweep but instead, Wie has passed into half guard.

Beach Bum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Beach Bum tries to lock up and control but Wie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Wie has hold of Beach Bum's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Beach Bum manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Beach Bum tries to improve his position but Wie has taken his back! Wie has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Beach Bum tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Wie pushes Beach Bum away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
