Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bolo Yueng !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Balthazar Baker!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yueng with a poor takedown
and Baker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Yueng takes a jab right on the kisser.
Baker lands a lovely overhand right.
Baker throws a lazy right hand but Yueng sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Yueng appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Baker feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Yueng sprawling to the canvas! Yueng rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Baker finish him?!
Yueng is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Baker fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Yueng square on the jaw! Damn, Yueng is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Balthazar Baker!
A relieved looking Balthazar Baker thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Bolo Yueng spoke after the fight, saying 'Im speechless. I had a good game plan, I just couldn’t get it done'.
