The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bray feints and then cracks Adams's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Adams down.
Bray walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Adams checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Adams attempts a counter takedown but Bray avoids it well and moves away.
A head kick misses from Bray.
Adams changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Bray misses with a head kick.
Adams tries to counter with a takedown but Bray is quick to defend against it.

Adams gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bray to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Adams is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Adams has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Adams has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Adams is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Bray.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bray is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Adams won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Bray off his unconscious opponent!
