Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Howard (ranked 3381 p4p, 6035 weight class) and Raymond Holt (ranked 471 p4p, 674 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dean Howard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raymond Holt!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Howard's waist but Howard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holt off to one side.
Howard drops down looking for a counter takedown but Holt sprawls and moves away.
Nice sprawl there from Howard as Holt shoots in.
Holt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Howard manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Howard definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Howard displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Holt.
Dean Howard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raymond Holt.

Holt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Howard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Holt is in a horrible position here. Howard smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Howard postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Holt looks a forlorn figure.

That has opened up Raymond Holt's cut even more.

Howard is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Holt is surviving well by controlling Howard's body position as best he can.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Holt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Howard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
