The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Barnes shoots in for a double leg but Averyanov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Barnes looks to score with a jab to the body but Averyanov is just out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Averyanov misses the target.
Averyanov ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Barnes misses with a hook.
Averyanov scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Averyanov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Barnes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Barnes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Averyanov cracks Barnes with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Barnes falls to his knees and Averyanov doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Andrei Averyanov started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
