Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Tomcic (ranked 1033 p4p, 2034 weight class) and Sergei Ulatov (ranked 128 p4p, 216 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladimir Tomcic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Ulatov!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomcic fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ulatov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Tomcic lands a big head kick that sends Ulatov tumbling to the mat! Tomcic takes a step backwards and waves Ulatov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ulatov is rocked!
Ulatov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tomcic lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Ulatov is still on wobbly legs! Can Tomcic finish him?
Ulatov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ulatov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Ulatov dives in and scores a takedown into Tomcic's guard.
Tomcic is controlling Ulatov's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ulatov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tomcic is keeping the position for now.
Ulatov seems to have recovered his senses.
Ulatov preventing the sweep.
Ulatov being controlled here momentarily.
Ulatov won't allow Tomcic to sweep him here.
Tomcic trying to keep a closed guard but Ulatov is proving a slippery customer.
Ulatov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tomcic swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tomcic lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Tomcic looking to sit in guard and control but Ulatov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ulatov trying to control the position from guard on top but Tomcic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ulatov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tomcic swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ulatov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Tomcic tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tomcic keeping moving, preventing Ulatov from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tomcic lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Tomcic trying to control the position from guard on top but Ulatov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ulatov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tomcic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ulatov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Ulatov gets back to half guard.

Tomcic looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ulatov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tomcic pulls his head out easily.
Well, if Tomcic is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Tomcic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ulatov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vladimir Tomcic dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Tomcic throws a body punch but Ulatov moves out of range.
Tomcic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ulatov wants to counter the offense by Tomcic and move into the clinch position.
Ulatov misses with a takedown attempt
and Tomcic counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Ulatov has his takedown stuffed
and Tomcic makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Ulatov misses with a takedown
and Tomcic counters with a stiff right hand.
Vladimir Tomcic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergei Ulatov.
Tomcic lands with an uppercut that bounces Ulatov off the cage and back into range.
Tomcic takes a swing at Ulatov's ribcage but misses.
A jab from Tomcic finds it's way through Ulatov's defenses.
Tomcic misses with a head kick.
Ulatov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tomcic defends it nicely.
Tomcic leaves Ulatov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
It looked like Tomcic was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Ulatov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tomcic counters with a head kick. That will keep Ulatov thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tomcic feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ulatov sprawling to the canvas! Ulatov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tomcic finish him?!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tomcic lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A nice inside leg kick there by Tomcic. That's going to slow Ulatov down.
Tomcic misses with a head kick.
Nice sprawl there from Tomcic as Ulatov shoots in.
Ulatov shoots for a double leg takedown but Tomcic sprawls well. He's pushed Ulatov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ulatov is breathing heavily.

Tomcic sends Ulatov crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Tomcic is motioning to the referee to let Ulatov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Tomcic looks to score with a jab to the body but Ulatov is just out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tomcic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sergei Ulatov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tomcic steps in with a hook that catches Ulatov right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Tomcic follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Ulatov looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vladimir Tomcic!
An out of breath and clearly excited Vladimir Tomcic thanked Conviction for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
