Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Aokison (ranked 952 p4p, 387 weight class) and Aku Serronen (ranked 153 p4p, 62 weight class). Aokison comes to the cage accompanied by Caroline. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Serronen throws a lazy right hand but Aokison sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Aokison on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Aku Serronen seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Serronen throws a hook to the side of Aokison's head but Aokison sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Aokison with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Serronen to score with a decent uppercut.
Aokison looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Serronen.

Serronen has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Aokison, as that shot connected.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Aokison is defended easily by Serronen.

Serronen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Serronen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Serronen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Serronen throws a body punch but Aokison moves out of range.
Aokison half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Aokison closes the distance and clinches up with Serronen, looking for a takedown. Aokison pushes Serronen against the cage but Serronen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Serronen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Aokison finds it's way round the side to connect with Serronen's head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryu Aokison.
I think Serronen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

During a confident post fight interview, Aku Serronen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
