Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neal Diaz (ranked 24442 p4p, 5524 weight class) and Alexander Edson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by BangaRang. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Edson enables Diaz to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Edson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Diaz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Edson seems keen to control Diaz's posture.

Edson winds up and cracks Diaz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Edson is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Diaz is hurt! He's hurt bad - Edson fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Diaz from any more punishment! Congratulations to Edson! Great finish!
