PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Akecheta Paco (ranked 5356 p4p, 5420 weight class) and Vasko Madzarov (ranked 106 p4p, 113 weight class). Vasko Madzarov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

Paco throws out a loose jab but Madzarov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Paco shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Madzarov eats them both and turns towards Paco to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Vasko Madzarov has been cut.
Madzarov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Paco seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

It looked like Paco was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

It seemed like Madzarov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Madzarov looks to land a right hand but Paco moved out of range.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Madzarov.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Madzarov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Paco has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Paco and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Paco was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Madzarov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Paco under the eye.
Paco cracks a nice hook into Madzarov's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Akecheta Paco will probably get the nod.

Madzarov ducks into a a hook from Paco and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

Paco scores with a big combo that sends Madzarov crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but the referee has seen enough as Madzarov flops around uncontrollably and he's called an end to the fight! Paco jumps onto the ropes and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Gross.

Akecheta Paco was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
