Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Afeef Isa Baba (ranked 146 p4p, 101 weight class) and Joy Rones (ranked 23 p4p, 15 weight class). Baba comes to the cage accompanied by Nation Arabic Orchestra. Rones has chosen Side to Side as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Baba is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rones.
Rones has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Rones feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Babas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rones fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Baba has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The fighters circle momentarily. Rones darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Baba might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Rones's corner calls for a 1-2. Rones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Oh Baba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Baba is aggressively charging in as Rones backs up avoiding any damage. Rones tosses out a jab and Baba runs right into it face first! Baba is out cold! Rones dropped down on all fours and is barking in Baba's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
