The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battaglia tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ayobi defends well and Battaglia ends up having to push Ayobi into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Christian Ayobi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Battaglia.
Ayobi stuffs the takedown attempt from Battaglia. Battaglia gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Battaglia goes for a double leg but Ayobi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Ayobi continues to drive forward.
Battaglia is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ayobi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Battaglia closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Battaglia wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ayobi keeps working.

Battaglia is looking to take a break and control but Ayobi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ayobi tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Battaglia presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Ayobi is in all sorts of trouble here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Battaglia takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Marco Battaglia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
