The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornell scores with a nice strike.

It looks like Yayi Zinsou has been cut.
Cornell looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Zinsou tries to clinch but Cornell moves away
and Cornell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Decent striking displayed by Cornell there.
Cornell lands a nice leg kick that just misses Zinsou's sensitive parts.
Zinsou closes the distance looking to clinch
and Cornell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Zinsou throws a looping overhand right but Cornell ducks down to avoid it.
Zinsou misses with a hook. Cornell ducked under it nicely.
Zinsou moves in looking to clinch but Cornell pushes him off.
Cornell connects with a right hand. Zinsou shakes it off.
Zinsou comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A good leg kick by Cornell.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zinsou looks to throw the jab but Cornell is out of range.
Cornell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zinsou.

Cornell gets tackled into the ropes by Zinsou. Zinsou maintains the clinch.
Cornell digs a right hand into Zinsou's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Zinsou's gas tank.
Zinsou's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Zinsou tries to break the clinch but Cornell is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cornell wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zinsou has him pressed against the ropes.
Cornell pushes Zinsou back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Zinsou is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cornell is defending well for now.

Cornell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cornell lands a really nice looking cross but Zinsou seems unphased.
Zinsou misses with a body shot
and Cornell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Zinsou is rocked!
Zinsou takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Zinsou is still on wobbly legs! Can Cornell finish him?
Zinsou steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Cornell. That one must have hurt.
Zinsou looks winded!
Cornell connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Zinsou out cold! This one is over in a flash!

After winning the bout, Tony Cornell thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
