The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns swinging wildly here.
A punch combination from Burns misses.
Burns throws out a loose jab but Garcia uses good head movement to avoid it.
Burns tries to bum rush Garcia with a series of wild strikes but Garcia uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Garcia avoids a punch combination nicely.

Garcia shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Burns is trying to defend but Garcia finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Garcia is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Burns defends it well.
Garcia content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Garcia works his foot free and advances to mount.
Burns looks gassed!

Burns is in all sorts of trouble here.

Garcia is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Burns to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Burns shrugs it off.

Burns has left one of his arms exposed and Garcia doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Burns screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

No joy there for Spong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hurley lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Hurley.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Hurley seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Kriston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hurley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Denjat looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Maguire can't hide his disappointment, as Denjat celebrates the victory.
