 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vicente Washington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dennis Iceman! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Iceman fails in his attempt to clinch. Iceman lands a body shot.
Iceman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Washington defends it nicely. Iceman catches Washington with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Iceman lands with a nice combination. Washington backs away looking to recover. No luck for Washington with that takedown attempt. Iceman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Washington counters with a shoot takedown. Iceman fights it but they end up in guard. Iceman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Washington. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Iceman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Washington doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Washington manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Iceman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Washington keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Iceman's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Washington passes Iceman's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Washington is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Iceman! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Iceman taking shots to the head. Iceman wants to hold on but Washington pushes him away. Washington takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Washington with a couple of short strikes. Washington lands with some strikes.
Iceman is rocked! Washington lands a big shot there that rocks Iceman but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Iceman is still in real trouble! Can Washington finish him? We've been hearing that Washington has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Washington drops a big elbow. That's hurt Iceman! More shots from Washington and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Todua tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Raptis Jr just stands there and leans against the ropes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tengiz Todua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Raptis Jr stops a takedown attempt from Todua.

Raptis Jr lands a nice uppercut. Raptis Jr gets underhooks to prevent Todua's takedown attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Tengiz Todua will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Tengiz Todua's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Raptis Jr throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Todua blocks it with crossed arms. Raptis Jr lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A shot to the body from Todua misses and Raptis Jr counters with a good low kick that Todua was not able to check. Todua throws a predictable looking body shot

Tengiz Todua's cut is getting worse. Todua lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Raptis Jr moves to clinch but Todua breaks away and Todua counters with a stiff right hand. Todua misses the shot to the body. Raptis Jr has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Raptis Jr tries a low kick but Todua avoids it. Raptis Jr throws a body kick that misses letting Todua counter with a right hand.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Raptis Jr shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Nice defenses there by Raptis Jr. Raptis Jr takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Raptis Jr fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. We've been told by Todua's head coaches at Ze Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A shot to the liver by Todua. Beautiful body shot. Raptis Jr tries to close the distance and clinch but Todua swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Todua is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirkas tries to bum rush McLawhorn with a series of wild strikes but McLawhorn uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McLawhorn dives in for a single leg takedown but Kirkas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
McLawhorn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kirkas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. McLawhorn wants to control from the top but Kirkas keeps moving. McLawhorn stopping the sweep attempt from Kirkas. Kirkas keeping moving, preventing McLawhorn from controlling successfully. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kirkas holds on and takes a little breather. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
