Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zander Johnson (ranked 2718 p4p, 3642 weight class) and Erich Von Lewinksi (ranked 289 p4p, 360 weight class). Von Lewinksi has chosen German Anthem as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson lands some shots froms side control. Johnson slows the pace down. Johnson wants to control but Von Lewinksi is keeping him busy. Von Lewinksi tries to bench press Johnson off him but Johnson keeps the position.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A cross from Helix lands. Bleak swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Helix rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bleak counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bleak scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Helix fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bleak, pushing him back against the cage. Helix throws a punch but it's blocked by Bleak. Helix misses with a punch on the inside.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Helix drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bleak pulls his leg out and moves away.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Bleak looks to throw the jab but Helix is out of range. Bleak moves forwards but Helix connects with a nice, crisp jab. Helix scores with a nice head shot. Helix lands with a hook. Bleak tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Helix throws a body shot but no joy. The fighters circling - Helix throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A lazy left from Helix finds it's target.
Bleak is rocked! Bleak walks straight into a right hand from Helix - that's dropped him! Helix jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bleak from any more punishment! Bleak complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Bodie Helix! A relieved looking Bodie Helix thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. In defeat, Wulfgang Bleak stepped up to the mic, saying 'I don't mind the pain, it helps remember the lesson. Great job by my opponent, he earned it. But I will be back!'.

Ganz tries to score with a low kick but Galowanga moves his leg out of the way. Galowanga unleashes a big counter combination but Ganz bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Galowanga misses the jab. Ganz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Galowanga manages to avoid it. Galowanga slips a jab from Ganz. No joy there for Ganz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maestro lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Asteroid uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Maestro. Asteroid drops down looking for a counter takedown but Maestro sprawls and moves away. Maestro swings widly with a right hand
and Asteroid counters with a nice double leg into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maestro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Asteroid controls from within his opponent's guard.
Asteroid got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maestro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Asteroid has managed to get both his arms back between Maestro's legs - danger averted. Asteroid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maestro on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maestro looking for a sweep. Not yet Maestro, not yet.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tim Holmberg! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holmberg closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jacira circles away. Jacira attempts a counter takedown but Holmberg avoids it well and moves away. Jacira throws a big shot that misses. Tim Holmberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Holmberg moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Tim Holmberg has been cut. Holmberg shoots in and drives through. Jacira sprawls well. Jacira's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Holmberg connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jacira scrambles back to his feet. Sloppy strikes from Holmberg. Those never looked like landing. Holmberg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Aqissiac Jacira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Holmberg. Holmberg walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Holmberg throws a shot to the body.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jacira connects with a couple of short punches.

That has opened up Tim Holmberg's cut even more. Jacira arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Holmberg's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
