 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saint Denis staying busy and making it hard for Riggs to control. Saint Denis is trying to get back to his feet but Riggs has full control of the position and if anything, Saint Denis has just worked his way into a worse spot. Riggs wants to control but Saint Denis is keeping busy.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Saint Denis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Saint Denis wants to control from the top but Riggs keeps moving. Saint Denis won't allow Riggs to get back to his feet. Saint Denis trying to control but Riggs is working from the bottom. Saint Denis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riggs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. Saint Denis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Saint Denis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Saint Denis trying to control but Riggs is working from the bottom. Saint Denis postures up in Riggs's guard and throws a big left but Riggs blocks it. Saint Denis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Saint Denis stuffs the takedown attempt from Riggs. Riggs gets slowly back to his feet. Saint Denis moves in looking to clinch but Riggs pushes him off.

It looked like Riggs was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Saint Denis. Riggs bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. The fight stays on the outside here - Saint Denis looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Riggs tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Saint Denis manages to circle out of the way. Riggs shoots for a double leg takedown but Saint Denis sprawls well. He's pushed Riggs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Riggs fails with a takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Riggs lands a nice hook to Saint Denis's body. Saint Denis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Theory Riggs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Benoit Saint Denis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Saint Denis avoids the head kick by Riggs.

and Tupua counters with a solid body kick. Poohammer looks winded! Tupua stuns Poohammer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Tupua feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Poohammer sprawling to the canvas! Poohammer rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tupua finish him?!

Tupua cracks Poohammer with a left hook right on the temple and Poohammer goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Tupua lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Poohammer is OK!

Stevens throws out a loose jab but Lorens uses good head movement to avoid it. Lorens on the wrong end of a nice low kick. Alvarez takes an elbow to the temple. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Robber scores with a shot to the side of Alvarez's head. Robber lands a hook to the side of the head. Robber lands a left hand that snaps the head of Alvarez backwards. Robber softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Robber lands a damaging elbow. Robber lands a hook to the side of the head. Robber gets through Alvarez's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A nice right hand lands inside from Robber. Robber looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Robber jerks Alvarez's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Alvarez drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Robber goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Robber because Alvarez was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

That kick from Horace tenderised Wake's leg. Wake is trying to keep his angry face on. Wake throws a looping overhand right but Horace ducks down to avoid it. Wake lands the left hand. Loch Wake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horace swings for the body but Wake moves out of range.
Horace's corner calls for a 1-2. Horace obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Horace throws a jab but it's blocked by Wake. Wake throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Horace takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wake shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Horace napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The strikes coming from Wake are missing the target in this wave of attacks. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Horace is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wake off and has taken his back!
 That's six minutes gone in the round. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

 That's eight minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Horace looking to control but Wake is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Wake wants to hold on but Horace pushes him away. Horace trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Horace looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Horace controlling the position easily from mount. Wake tries to lock up and control but Horace gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Horace can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wake is looking to escape. Horace is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Wake manages to regain half guard. Good work. Wake wants to get back to full guard.
