 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smashotti tries to clinch there but Wiggins circles away.
Wiggins swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Smashotti looks like he wants to counter punch here. Wiggins takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Danga de danga de dang - Smashotti scores with a four punch combination! Jab, jab by Smashotti - just one landing. Smashotti tries to clinch but Wiggins moves out of range. Smashotti fails in his attempt to clinch. A little feinted left hand from Wiggins on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Smashotti lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Wiggins is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Smashotti. Smashotti throws a right hand that Wiggins ducks under and follows up with a left that Wiggins also avoids with ease. Wiggins wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. A nice combination there by Smashotti.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smashotti scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karhu scores with a leg kick.
Karhu throws a poor cross that misses
and Jeffries counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jeffries loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jeffries slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jeffries postures up in Karhu's guard and throws a big left but Karhu blocks it. Jeffries is looking to work some ground and pound but Karhu has wrist control. Karhu keeping moving, preventing Jeffries from controlling successfully. Jeffries working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jeffries seems content to control from guard here. Jeffries gets through Karhu's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Karhu tries to work over Jeffries's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Jeffries goes for a takedown attempt but Karhu pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Karhu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jeffries, pushing him back against the cage. Karhu lands a hook that snaps the head of Jeffries backwards. Karhu lands with a short head shot on the inside. Jeffries throws a head punch that misses. Karhu doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in the clinch, Karhu scores with a nice short uppercut. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jeffries. Karhu swings wildly with an uppercut but Jeffries uses good head movement to avoid it. Jeffries is pushing Karhu up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Jeffries drops down looking for an ankle pick but Karhu pulls his leg out and moves away.
Alpha Karhu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bray Jeffries. Jeffries stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Jeffries just misses with a punch to the body.

Karhu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Jeffries lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Alpha Karhu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jeffries fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Karhu swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Jeffries dodges the punch combination from Karhu.
Karhu cracks a nice hook into Jeffries's ribs. Jeffries scores with a jab. Karhu acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Jeffries has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Jeffries scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. and Jeffries counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jeffries. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.  That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.  That's five minutes gone in the round. Jeffries changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Jeffries lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Karhu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jeffries blocks a jab. Jeffries tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Jeffries misses with a wild body shot. A big right from Karhu misses. And Jeffries tries to counter it with a takedown but Karhu pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Karhu gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jeffries to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jeffries is breathing heavily. Jeffries cracks Karhu with a solid left hand. Jeffries throws an elbow that misses. Karhu uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jeffries's guard. Nice move by Karhu!

McFistface darts in trying to clinch and Frost counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Frost throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McFistface sees it coming and avoids it easily. McFistface throws a big counter combination but Frost scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. McFistface tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Frost scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. McFistface plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! This has been an exciting period of action! Frost missing with a left hand there. McFistface was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. McFistface throws a half hearted mid kick. McFistface steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Frost.

McFistface creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

We're back to striking at a distance. McFistface takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. McFistface plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Frost fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Frost lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lito Harrison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bing Chilling! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harrison misses with a wild body shot. Chilling looks like he wants to counter punch here. Harrison throws a sloppy head kick and Chilling counters with a three punch combo that has Harrison backing up. Harrison nods at Chilling to acknowledge the strikes. Harrison pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Harrison throws a lazy right hand but Chilling sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Chilling lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Chilling misses with a body shot.
It looked like Harrison wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Harrison throws a sloppy head kick and Chilling moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harrison tries to land a leg kick but Chilling saw it coming and moves away.

Chilling stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Harrison. Chilling showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Harrison.

Kim tries a quick counter leg kick but Takeda is wise to it. Takeda fails with a takedown attempt. Takeda ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kim moves away. Takeda throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Takeda throws a nice head kick!

and Kim counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kim. A head punch blocked on the inside by Takeda. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim working aggressively here.

It looked like Takeda was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kim. Kim jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Takeda throws a right and a left that both miss. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Takeda jabs Kim right on the nose. Kim blinks but takes it well. Kim swings widly with a right hand
and Takeda counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kim's knee momentarily. Takeda misses with a straight left. Takeda is looking to wear down Kim with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Takeda throws a push kick but Kim slaps the foot to one side. Takeda tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kim tries a quick counter leg kick but Takeda is wise to it. Kim connects with a good right hand that stumbles Takeda. Takeda circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Takeda takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kim with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Kim with a jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takeda walks straight into a jab right on the nose. Takeda throws a combination. Kim tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Kim is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Takeda had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. A right-left combo lands from Takeda. Kim drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. and Kim counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kim. Kim misses with a short punch on the inside. Takeda blocks a body shot from Kim. Kim tries to throw a body punch but Takeda avoids it by throwing Kim back against the cage. The referee calls for Takeda to work.

and Kim counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Takeda scores with a nice right hand.

Takeda thuds his right hand into Kim's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. A big left from Takeda misses. Kim steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Takeda.

Kim keeps control of Takeda as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Takeda tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Kim keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Takeda's efforts to push away. Takeda is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Takeda blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kim softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Kim lands a hook to the side of the head. Takeda tries to score a body lock takedown but Kim shows good agility there to stay on his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yasol Kim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Takeda shoots in for a takedown but Kim shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Takeda throws a leg kick but Kim checks it. Kim swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Takeda.
Takeda drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kim is on top in guard.
 The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kim wants to control from the top but Takeda keeps moving. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kim is looking to work some ground and pound but Takeda has wrist control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kim accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kim wants to control from the top but Takeda keeps moving. Takeda is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kim wants to pass the guard but Takeda is keeping the position. Takeda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Takeda looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Takeda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kim steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Takeda. Kim tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kim lands a leg kick that knocks Takeda off balance momentarily.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Kim looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Takeda misses with a hook. Kim misses with a leg kick. Kim uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Takeda has time to react. Kim is looking to slow Takeda down with leg kicks. Kim takes a swing at Takeda's ribcage but misses. Takeda throws a right and a left that Kim avoids nicely. Takeda keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
