With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Spagnolo! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice leg kick from Spagnolo, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sansho definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Spagnolo walks into a left hand. A big left from Sansho misses. A combination from Sansho does no damage. Donk. Spagnolo catches Sansho right on the button with a cross. Sansho misses with an uppercut. Spagnolo ducks down and throws a hook to the body. A telegraphed right hand from Sansho misses the target. Spagnolo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sansho is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Spagnolo. Spagnolo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sansho. Sansho throws a hook to the side of Spagnolo's head but Spagnolo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Spagnolo steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Sansho. Sansho throws a looping overhand right but Spagnolo ducks down to avoid it. Spagnolo misses with a looping right. Sansho misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A left lands for Spagnolo. Spagnolo jabbing away but nothing is landing. Spagnolo throws a leg kick but Sansho moved away. Sansho throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Spagnolo to counter with a crisp jab. Sansho uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Spagnolo has time to react.

It connects and Sansho has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Spagnolo lands a nice shot that snaps Sansho's head back.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sansho, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Leighton. Leighton throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Leighton is looking to land body kicks. Zero connects with a body shot. Leighton on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Zero scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Leighton to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage. Oh Leighton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Leighton walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Sub Zero! A very excited looking Sub Zero made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
