The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clegg shoots in looking for a takedown. Morta tries to sprawl out of it but Clegg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Morta just misses with a punch to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Clegg tries to pull guard but Morta won't allow it.
Clegg stalls.
Morta throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Morta scores with a shot to the side of Clegg's head.

Clegg is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Morta can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morta can do anything to dispel that myth.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Corporal Clegg.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Duggary crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shellac - the referee stops the clock and Duggary gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shellac. Duggary manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Khavin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
