A momentary lapse in concentration from Gomes enables Porfirigo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gomes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Seagull throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Seagull tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tiger paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tiger seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Tiger throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Seagull's head.
Tiger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Seagull gets the takedown into side control.
Tiger seems a little lost for a moment, as Seagull dominates the positioning.
Tiger takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Seagull works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Laine scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Garrincha throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Laine stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A chopping leg kick lands by Garrincha.
Muuka Laine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laine misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Garrincha.
Laine lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Garrincha circles away quickly and effectively.
Laine does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

It looks like Muuka Laine has been cut.
Laine throws a looping overhand right but Garrincha ducks down to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Garrincha! But no joy.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Minerva Wulf (ranked 702 p4p, 1295 weight class) and Chu Ho Soon (ranked 39 p4p, 72 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escalante lands a really nice looking cross but Hedegaard seems unphased.

Escalante's corner calls for a 1-2. Escalante obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Escalante lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hedegaard shoots in looking for a takedown but Escalante manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hedegaard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
It looked like Escalante wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
