With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Petrie Belfry! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klimothi shoots in for a double leg but Belfry sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Belfry thows a left - swing and a miss! Belfry misses with a straight left. Klimothi takes a body punch but keeps moving. Belfry stuffs the takedown. Klimothi closes the distance and clinches up with Belfry, looking for a takedown. Klimothi pushes Belfry against the cage but Belfry circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shionne Klimothi. That's going to take a lot out of him. A combination from Klimothi does no damage. Klimothi moves forwards but Belfry connects with a nice, crisp jab. Klimothi with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Belfry to score with a decent uppercut. It looks like Shionne Klimothi has been cut. A jab from Belfry misses. Belfry fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Klimothi square on the jaw! Damn, Klimothi is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gigolo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gigolo content to control rather than advance. Gigolo passes to side control. Dawit tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dawit wants to control but Gigolo postures up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dawit can do anything to dispel that myth. Dawit is looking to regain half guard here but Gigolo keeps moving and retains side control. Dawit looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've been hearing good reports from Gigolo's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Gigolo happy to just control the position for now. Dawit tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gigolo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dawit should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Dawit trying his best to control but Gigolo has mounted him.

Dawit wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Gigolo just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Gigolo is trying to stick to Dawit's back but Dawit is turning into Gigolo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Gigolo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dawit.

Nice move. Gigolo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Dawit is trying desperately to improve position.

Silva swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Wu is now in Silva's guard. A big mistake from Silva there, giving up the dominant position! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silva looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wu has picked Silva up and slammed him! Silva can't keep hold of the triangle and Wu manages to pass to side control! Wu has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Goya - 🥊 MMA Academy. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Wu is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Silva.
