Kyle Veli had a terrible time trying to make weight. After initially coming in at 160.1, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with White Goodman was cancelled.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyrvänsyylä misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kyrvänsyylä feints a jab promting Rua to slip. Kyrvänsyylä then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rua slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Wanderlei Rua has been cut.
Kyrvänsyylä looks to land a left hand but Rua moved out of range nicely.

As Rua looks to move away, Kyrvänsyylä throws a big counter combo but Rua just gets out of the way.
The crowd cheers as Rua lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kyrvänsyylä doesn't seem phased though.
