The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Sinisterra.
Gremlin dodges the punch combination from Sinisterra.
As Sinisterra tries to get set, Gremlin tries to push him back and clinch up but Sinisterra manages to avoid the attempt.
Both fighters circling a little - Sinisterra finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Sinisterra connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Sinisterra drops his shoulder and cracks Gremlin with a huge uppercut! Gremlin goes down! Can Sinisterra finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luke Mad Onion!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mad Onion throws a sloppy head kick and Line moves out of range easily.
Mad Onion scores with a jab.
A solid leg kick lands there for Mad Onion.
Mad Onion throws a lazy right hand but Line sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Line missing with a left hand there. Mad Onion was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Line misses with a hook.
As Line backs off Mad Onion throws a huge counter combo but Line manages to avoid it all.
Line takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mad Onion lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Line backs up against the cage.
Line lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mad Onion's sensitive parts.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mad Onion looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Line lands a nice shot that snaps Mad Onion's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mad Onion lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Line circles away quickly and effectively.
Line is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Mad Onion throws a push kick but Line slaps the foot to one side.
Luke Mad Onion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Line throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Line moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Mad Onion goes down! Can Line finish him!?

Line postures up in Mad Onion's guard and throws a big left but Mad Onion blocks it.

Mad Onion is looking to stand up but Line isn't so interested in that idea.
Mad Onion is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Line dives into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Line takes a little break here. Mad Onion wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Mad Onion seems to have recovered his senses.
Line in side control, throwing shots but Mad Onion defends.
Mad Onion wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The referee asks Line politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Line prefers to stall for the moment though.
Line creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mad Onion sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Line has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Line misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Even with his hooks in, Line manages to miss with strikes from the back.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Mad Onion is trying to get back to his feet but Line has full control of the position and if anything, Mad Onion has just worked his way into a worse spot.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mad Onion is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Line off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Line throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mad Onion trying to get back to his feet but Line is in full control for now.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Line throws a looping overhand right but Mad Onion ducks down to avoid it.
Mad Onion lands with a kick to the temple. Line shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Mad Onion tries to close the distance and clinch up but Line swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Line jabs Mad Onion to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Line misses with a looping left.
Line looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mad Onion tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Line paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gothic Line is winning the standup battle so far.
Mad Onion connects with a looping right hand.
Mad Onion blocks a head kick by Line.
Mad Onion swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Mad Onion bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Line's head.
Mad Onion slips a jab from Line.
Mad Onion keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Line.
Mad Onion steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Line.
Line works the jab nicely.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Line here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Line swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Mad Onion throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Line blocks it with crossed arms.

Line tries to work over Mad Onion's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Line presses Mad Onion against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Line pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Line cracks Mad Onion with an open hand slap.
A nice inside leg kick there by Line. That's going to slow Mad Onion down.
Line throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mad Onion.
Line lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mad Onion at a distance.
Line throws out a loose jab but Mad Onion uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mad Onion looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Mad Onion takes a jab right on the kisser.

Mad Onion pushes Line up against the cage in a clinch.

Line breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice straight punches there by Line. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Line.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Mad Onion just misses with a elbow thrown towards Line's brow.

Line's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Line pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nice defenses there by Mad Onion.
Mad Onion takes a swing at Line's ribcage but misses.
A head kick misses from Line.
Mad Onion closes the distance but Line moves to the side
and Line cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Line throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Line missing with a left hand there. Mad Onion was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mad Onion looks to score with a jab to the body but Line is just out of range.

Line throws a jab but it's blocked by Mad Onion.
Mad Onion checks the leg kick nicely there.

enabling Line to counter with a crisp jab.

Line scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
and Line counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Mad Onion! He's just covering up as Line starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gothic Line!
Gothic Line retains his heavyweight title!
In his post fight interview, Gothic Line started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
