The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kostlov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kostlov wants to pass the guard but Mifune is keeping the position.
Mifune is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Wizardcast that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Kostlov gets to his feet - Mifune follows without any prompting.

Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Mifune moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Kostlov! Mifune continues to tee off on Kostlov, landing with a left and a right! Mifune connects with a right hand that leaves Kostlov sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Mifune!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malig takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Malig crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fuhn - the referee stops the clock and Malig gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fuhn. Malig manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Malig looks to score with a jab to the body but Fuhn is just out of range.
Fuhn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Malig moves away.

and Malig counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Malig.
Malig is stalling in the full guard.
Let's hope that Malig has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Fuhn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Malig on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Malig has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Fuhn defend it? Malig steps over the head and cranks it - Fuhn is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Malig!

In his post fight interview, Trevor McCallen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Spinks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Henderson circles away quickly and effectively.
Spinks has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Henderson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Spinks uses from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kamogawa lands a left and a right that send Yamamoto crashing to the mat, dazed. Kamogawa thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Yamamoto is rocked!
It looks like Kane Yamamoto has been cut.
Yamamoto looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Yamamoto drops his hands momentarily. Kamogawa doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Yamamoto staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Yamamoto doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Veainu is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Ziskie flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ziskie is out cold! Veainu holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
