The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akumba throws a nice looking combination but Penn Jr bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Penn Jr! But no joy.
Penn Jr scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Akumba works over Penn Jr's head and body with a nice combination.
A solid leg kick lands there for Akumba.
Penn Jr lands with a nice body punch.
Akumba keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
It looked like Akumba was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Penn Jr moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Mako Akumba has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Penn Jr throws a right hand that Akumba ducks under and follows up with a left that Akumba also avoids with ease.
Akumba avoids a punch combination nicely.
Akumba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Penn Jr.
Akumba appears to be looking for a big counter.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Penn Jr! But no joy.

Penn Jr clips Akumba with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Akumba a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
Akumba tries to bum rush Penn Jr with a series of wild strikes but Penn Jr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

After the fight, Steel Penn Jr was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Mako Akumba stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be helping Soyster with his gym, and I look forward to that part of my career.'.

La Croix comes to the ring accompanied by Ca Plane Pour Moi. Quick comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gangster's Paradise- Coolio kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the ring it seems that Nero La Croix has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nero La Croix seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick throws an off balance right hand
and La Croix counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Dru Quick has been cut.
La Croix throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Quick lands a leg kick that knocks La Croix off balance momentarily.
Quick sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Both fighters circling a little - La Croix finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Quick throws a hook but La Croix avoids it easily.
La Croix ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Quick moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

La Croix knocks out Quick with a massive right hand! The ref tackles La Croix before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. La Croix picks up the big W with a huge KO!
