The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McQuade pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rivera closes the distance and clinches up with McQuade, looking for a takedown. Rivera pushes McQuade against the ropes but McQuade circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McQuade shoots in and drives through. Rivera sprawls well.
McQuade goes for a double leg but Rivera avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Rivera continues to drive forward.
Rivera drops down looking for a counter takedown but McQuade sprawls and moves away.
McQuade shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
