The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The Predator moves away.
The Predator seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
The Predator throws a hook but Thomas blocks it.
The Predator looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

The Predator cracks Thomas with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Thomas get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Thomas looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

Ngirente drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Watson onto his butt! Watson pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
Ngirente's coach down at Essence Dive was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ngirente's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ngirente throws the left hand but Watson avoids the punch easily.
Ngirente takes a swing at Watson's ribcage but misses.
Watson appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
