and Fuerte counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
De Armas gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! De Armas tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Fuerte is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and De Armas buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves De Armas!! De Armas is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Fuerte throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Kanaani throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Custo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kanaani has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Custo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kanaani tries to avoid it but Custo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kanaani to the ground. Kanaani escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kanaani lands a really nice looking cross but Custo seems unphased.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Custo is defended easily by Kanaani.

Custo shoots in looking for a takedown. Kanaani tries to sprawl out of it but Custo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Kanaani manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Jacque Custo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Custo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kanaani sprawls well. Kanaani wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Custo gets slowly back to his feet.

Custo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kanaani thuds a left hand into Custo's body.
Kanaani clobbers Custo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Custo shoots for a double leg takedown but Kanaani sprawls well. He's pushed Custo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Custo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kanaani scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Custo slips a jab and a cross from Kanaani.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kanaani stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kanaani wants it to stay on the feet.
Custo shoots in for a double leg but Kanaani sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kanaani lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kanaani.
Kanaani throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Custo on the side of the head.

Custo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kanaani finds it's way round the side to connect with Custo's head.

Artucan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Artucan is in trouble now - Khan has advanced to mount!

Khan is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Artucan is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Artucan flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Khan anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Artucan and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Khan slips an arm under Artucan chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Khan has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Khan is squeezing on Artucan like an anaconda would it's prey. Artucan fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
