Al Thor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buhlshk is fending him off so far but Al Thor persists. Nope, Buhlshk circles away and we're back to standing.
Buhlshk shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Al Thor eats them both and turns towards Buhlshk to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Al Thor dodges the punch combination from Buhlshk.
Yuwanah Buhlshk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buhlshk tries to bum rush Al Thor with a series of wild strikes but Al Thor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Al Thor is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Buhlshk with a body shot.
Buhlshk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Al Thor looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
No joy there for Buhlshk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Al Thor swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Al Thor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Al Thor uses his free foot to push down on Buhlshk's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Buhlshk.

Al Thor is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Buhlshk is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Buhlshk flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Al Thor anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Buhlshk and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Al Thor slips an arm under Buhlshk chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Al Thor has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Al Thor is squeezing on Buhlshk like an anaconda would it's prey. Buhlshk fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Der Veer Jr looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Der Veer Jr takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Der Veer Jr walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bauwe swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Der Veer Jr fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bauwe, pushing him back against the cage.

Der Veer Jr is trying to trip Bauwe. He has hold of a leg but Bauwe is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Der Veer Jr persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Der Veer Jr is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bauwe will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
