Mein Armbach shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mein Armbach's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksson fails with the takedown
and Donovan counters with a right hand to the body.
Eriksson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Eriksson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Eriksson throws a head kick but Donovan moves out of range.
Donovan tries to clinch but Eriksson is having none of it.
Eriksson dives in and grabs Donovan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Donovan pushes down on Eriksson's head and hops out.
Donovan clobbers Eriksson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Eriksson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Donovan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Donovan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Eriksson is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Donovan doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Eriksson crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Eriksson's bad books for that mishap!

Hansson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Parker pulls his head out easily.
Parker is taking a breather. Hansson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hansson tries to get to full guard but Parker has control of the leg.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Prince lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Prince is pawing at Jones , trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Jones 's nose. Jones is badly hurt! Prince pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Jones tries desperately to hold on but Prince is relentless in his assault! As Jones receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Prince away and this one is in the books!
