Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Project Doom (ranked 638 p4p, 85 weight class) and Meltroco Bimbotinque (ranked 693 p4p, 91 weight class). Doom kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Battle Beast - Touch in the Night. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bimbotinque throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Bimbotinque steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Doom. That one must have hurt. Nice uppercut lands for Bimbotinque. That snapped Doom's head back.
Bimbotinque misses with a hook. Doom ducked under it nicely. Doom swings for the body but Bimbotinque moves out of range.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Sokolov throws out the jab but it was never going to land. MacArthur Jnr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sokolov. Sokolov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before MacArthur Jnr can pounce on him.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cage lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Guns thuds his right hand into Cage's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Cage lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Cage misses the shot to the body. Cage throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Guns throws a head kick but Cage moves out of range.

Cage lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cage avoids the body shot from Guns.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Guns keeping moving, preventing Cage from controlling successfully. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Tyler Cage is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cage is looking to work some ground and pound but Guns has wrist control.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A combination from Guns does no damage. Guns has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. A slow jab from Guns misses its intended target. Guns looks for the body kick but Cage saw that one coming. Cage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Guns avoids it really well and circles away. Guns bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cage's head backwards.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGee misses with a right hand and Chula connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
 It looks like Bonerz McGee has been cut. Chula has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ice Cream Parlour in the buildup to the fight. McGee throws a combination that misses and Chula counters with a three punch combo that has McGee backing up. McGee nods at Chula to acknowledge the strikes. Chula missing with a left hand there. McGee was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. McGee slips a jab and a cross from Chula.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lord misses with a kick to the body
and Rob counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lord!
Lord sneaks out the side door and pushes Rob away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Rob uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Rob has managed to clinch.
Lord tries to work over Rob's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Rob is looking to break free of the clinch but Lord has double underhooks.
Rob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lord has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lord blocks a jab. Rob throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lord connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Lord takes a jab right on the kisser.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lord keeping moving, preventing Rob from controlling successfully. Rob trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rob stands up over Lord, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rob wants to pass the guard but Lord is keeping the position.
Rob is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lord wants to stand but Rob is controlling the position.

 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Rob throws a jab but it's blocked by Lord. Rob looks to land a left hand but Lord moved out of range nicely. Lord throws out a counter right but Rob avoids it with no problem. Rob scores with a nice right hand.
Rob fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lord, pushing him back against the cage. Lord prevents the takedown attempt.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al Din pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Al Din misses with an uppercut. Al Din throws a body punch but Cole moves out of range. Cole looks to land a combination but Al Din avoids it well. Al Din rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cole moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Al Din takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Al Din throws a leg kick but Cole checks it. Al Din keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
 It looks like Michael Cole has been cut. Al Din throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Cole drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Al Din defends it well. Cole catches Al Din with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
 It looks like Badr Al Din has been cut. Cole lunges at Al Din with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Al Din's hand. Al Din seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Cole's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Al Din connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cole scrambles back to his feet. Al Din tries to work over Cole's front leg with a kick but Cole checks it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Al Din throws a looping overhand right but Cole ducks down to avoid it.
Cole drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cole creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Cole landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Al Din sneaks back into half guard. Al Din controlling the position well. Al Din taking some punishment here, with Cole in his half guard. Cole working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Cole winds up and cracks Al Din with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Cole throwing shots but Al Din is blocking nicely. Al Din moves into full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baba comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Baba misses with a right hand and Shin counters with a lovely straight right hand! Baba looks to land a right hand but Shin moved out of range.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Shin throws a hook but Baba blocks it. A clash of legs there as Baba blocks the low kick. Baba is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Baba scores with a jab. Shin throws a sloppy head kick and Baba counters with a lovely straight right hand! Shin blocks the body kick.

Shin throws a hook but Baba blocks it. Baba jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Shin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Shin avoids a punch combination nicely.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Baba connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Baba swings away with a body shot that misses
and Shin counters with a stiff right hand. Baba jabs Shin right on the nose. Shin blinks but takes it well. Shin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Baba swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Baba digs a good hook to Shin's body.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Shin misses with a kick to the body and Baba connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Shin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Baba has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Shin. Shin looks to land a left hand but Baba moved out of range nicely. Shin throws a leg kick that is checked and Baba connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Shin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Shin looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Baba misses with a double jab.

Baba is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Shin lands a jab.
 Afeef Isa Baba's cut is getting worse. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shin throws a jab but it's blocked by Baba. Baba was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Baba connects with a leg kick. Shin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Shin misses with a body kick. An attempted straight right counter from Baba misses the target. Baba misses the shot to the body. Shin looks to land a right hand but Baba moved out of range. Baba looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but Afeef Isa Baba did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Baba thinks about countering with a body kick. Shin bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Shin connects with a single shot there.
 Baba is rocked! Baba throws a lazy body kick and Shin counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Oh Baba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Shin cracks Baba with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Baba falls to his knees and Shin doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lao Shin! Lao Shin is the new welterweight champion! During a confident post fight interview, Lao Shin thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

37 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Closet Case Conservative! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sunray Spike! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conservative lands with a nice body punch. A punch lands to the side of Conservative 's head but he takes it in his stride. Conservative throws a shot from downtown. Spike moves away and avoids it. Conservative shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Spike is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Conservative swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Spike shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Conservative eats them both and turns towards Spike to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Spike moves away from the strike by Conservative. Conservative throws a hook to the side of Spike's head but Spike sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Spike misses with a lunging right hand
and Conservative counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Conservative lands a nice leg kick that just misses Spike's sensitive parts. Conservative thows a left - swing and a miss! Spike swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Conservative connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Some wild striking there from Conservative.

Spike lands a big head kick that sends Conservative tumbling to the mat! Spike takes a step backwards and waves Conservative back to his feet - he wants the finish!
 It looks like Closet Case Conservative has been cut.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spike keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Conservative. Conservative lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Spike drops Conservative with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Conservative looks back up at him and smiles so Spike waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Spike throws a pinpoint strike between Conservative's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Conservative crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Spike scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sunray Spike! Sunray Spike is the new super heavyweight champion! Sunray Spike spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
