The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Javier throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tonu on the side of the head.
Tonu throws a right and a left that Javier avoids nicely.
Javier looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Javier lands a big right hand that sends Tonu crashing to the mat! Javier stays standing though and waves Tonu back to his feet!

Tonu is rocked!

It looks like Edward Tonu has been cut.
Javier delivers a nice body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Javier dodges the punch combination from Tonu.
Tonu closes the distance looking to clinch

and Javier counters with a nice right hand that sends Tonu toppling to the canvas! Tonu scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Javier finish him?!
Oh Tonu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Look low, kick high! Javier uses the oldest trick in the book to send Tonu tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Javier is absolutely delighted - when Tonu wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rutten connects with a nice short shot to Chandler's temple.

Rutten tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chandler defends well and Rutten ends up having to push Chandler into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
