Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leondardo Song (ranked 7184 p4p, 590 weight class) and Ricardo Rebenta (ranked 23381 p4p, 652 weight class). Song comes to the cage accompanied by Oldboy OST - The Last Waltz. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricardo Rebenta!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rebenta lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Song backs up against the cage.

Song closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rebenta's guard.
Song passes into half guard.

Rebenta is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Song pulls his head out easily.
Song is stalling here. Rebenta is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Song seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rebenta has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Song is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Well Rebenta has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Gelfen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Smith looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Gelfen drops Smith with a right and a left! Gelfen comes rushing in but Smith regains his composure and manages to keep Gelfen in guard.
Smith is still in real trouble! Can Gelfen finish him?

Gelfen gets to his feet - Smith follows without any prompting.
Gelfen is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Smith flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Smith is out cold! Gelfen holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Eddie Gelfen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Aaron Smith spoke after the fight, saying 'No one likes seeing their opponent's hand raised, but that just means that they were the better man today. My team at 3Band MMA and I will break down this match and make the proper changes for my next camp.'.

Bizarria has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pendragon to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bizarria is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pendragon pulls down on the head and he's put Bizarria to sleep! This one is all over!
