0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sung Miyamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Martin Larsen! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larsen throws a series of punches but Miyamoto moves out of range. Miyamoto throws the left hand but Larsen avoids the punch easily. Miyamoto lands a really nice looking cross but Larsen seems unphased.
Miyamoto has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Miyamoto tries a head kick but it misses.
Miyamoto has taken the fight to the clinch.
Larsen displaying some good clinch control by pressing Miyamoto up against the cage. A short right from Larsen on the inside. Miyamoto drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Larsen with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Miyamoto wants a takedown.

Miyamoto throws a hook but Larsen blocks it. Sung Miyamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Larsen keeps the fight on the outside. Miyamoto takes a swing at Larsen's ribcage but misses. Miyamoto misses with a looping right. Larsen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Larsen throws a nice looking combination but Miyamoto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Larsen loads up on a big right hand but Miyamoto slips the punch. Miyamoto misses with a head kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Larsen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A big right from Miyamoto misses. Nice uppercut there from Miyamoto. Larsen throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Miyamoto misses with a hook
and Larsen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Miyamoto won't be happy with that. Miyamoto scores with a shot to the body.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Miyamoto is trying to buck Larsen off. Larsen tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Miyamoto tries to bench press Larsen off him but Larsen keeps the position. Miyamoto wants to control but Larsen postures up. You can see the frustration on Miyamoto's face as Larsen controls the position. Miyamoto can't do much from the bottom here. Larsen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Miyamoto tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Larsen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Miyamoto throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Miyamoto is trying to get back to half guard. Miyamoto is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Larsen off and has taken his back!
Miyamoto working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Miyamoto looking for the choke but no joy. Miyamoto has Larsen flattened out and is raining down punches. Miyamoto is hanging on to Larsen's back as he tries to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miyamoto lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Miyamoto is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Larsen defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Sung Miyamoto dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Larsen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Miyamoto scores with a sloppy right hand. Larsen should have avoided that one. Miyamoto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sung Miyamoto is winning the standup battle so far. Miyamoto misses with a head kick.
Larsen throws a counter combo. Miyamoto tests Larsen's chin there with a solid looking shot. Miyamoto misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Larsen.
Miyamoto looks to land a left hand but Larsen moved out of range nicely. Larsen blocks a jab. Miyamoto scores with a nice head shot.
 Larsen is rocked! Martin Larsen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Larsen goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Larsen is still on wobbly legs! Can Miyamoto finish him? Larsen throws a head kick but Miyamoto moves out of range.
Larsen seems to have recovered his senses. Miyamoto is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Miyamoto lands with an overhand left. Larsen fakes the leg kick and cracks Miyamoto in the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Miyamoto shoots for a double leg takedown but Larsen sprawls well. He's pushed Miyamoto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Larsen is trying to counter with his kicks. Miyamoto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Miyamoto lands a glancing blow to the side of Larsen's head. Miyamoto stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Larsen moves forwards but Miyamoto connects with a nice, crisp jab. Miyamoto connects with a jab. Larsen gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Miyamoto gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Larsen is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hank attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Bobeth is looking to counter the offense by Hank and move into the clinch. Bobeth throws a body punch but Hank moves out of range. Hank fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bobeth avoids it really well and circles away. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Bobeth, right into the meat.
Hank lands a nice shot to the body.
Bobeth closes the distance and pushes Hank back into the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hank looking for a sweep. Not yet Hank, not yet.
Bobeth gets to his feet - Hank follows without any prompting. Hank looks for the body kick but Bobeth saw that one coming. Hank's coach down at Bebop Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hank's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Hank is looking to clinch.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Bobeth circles away from the clinch attempt and Bobeth cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bobeth displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hank. Bobeth slips a jab and a cross from Hank.

Hank kicks Bobeth off and gets back to his feet. Hammer Hank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bobeth decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Bobeth slaps away a takedown attempt from Hank, before circling back to the center of the mat. Michael Bobeth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hammer Hank.

Bobeth fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hank has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Hank missing with a left hand there. Bobeth was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bobeth is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Horrible takedown attempt by Bobeth or perhaps it was just good defense by Hank, which made it look bad. Hank fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bobeth misses with a few strikes there.

Bobeth manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A head kick misses from Bobeth. Hank tries to close the distance and clinch but Bobeth swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hank on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Bobeth dives in for a single leg takedown but Hank sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Bobeth shoots in looking for a takedown. Hank tries to sprawl out of it but Bobeth keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hank manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hank shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hank keeps Bobeth at a distance using the push kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Bobeth misses with a takedown

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Bobeth will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elpidius avoids the head kick by Mercury.
Mercury throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Elpidius. Mercury throws a sloppy head kick and Elpidius moves out of range easily. Mercury lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. and Elpidius decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mercury's guard. Elpidius is looking to work some ground and pound but Mercury has wrist control. Elpidius wants to control from the top but Mercury keeps moving. Elpidius is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Shinto Elite MMA Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Mercury wants to stand and escape but Elpidius is having none of it. Elpidius looking to pass the guard. Elpidius is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Elpidius stands and throws Mercury's legs to the side, diving into side control. Mercury really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Elpidius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Elpidius is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Elpidius working the ground and pound but Mercury is defending the strikes. Elpidius working the head and body with strikes. A lull in the action here as Elpidius stalls from top position. Elpidius has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Mercury felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Elpidius prevents Mercury from standing back up.

and Elpidius counters with a single leg into guard. Mercury didn't expect that. Elpidius postures up in Mercury's guard and throws a big left but Mercury blocks it. Mercury keeping moving, preventing Elpidius from controlling successfully. Elpidius slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Elpidius throws a big elbow that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elpidius controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Elpidius has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Elpidius has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mercury. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. No joy there for Elpidius, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mercury working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Elpidius. Elpidius controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Elpidius with a flurry of punches that miss. Mercury can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Elpidius controls the pace. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Freddie Mercury showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Elpidius is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Freddie Mercury seems to be getting the better of the standup. A head kick misses from Mercury. Elpidius is looking for a counter combo. Mercury bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Mercury is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Elpidius closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mercury to the mat! Mercury manages to get full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Elpidius sitting in guard here, content to control. Elpidius slips nicely into half guard. Freddie Mercury is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mercury takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Elpidius looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Elpidius working over Mercury with some ground and pound. Mercury looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Eustace Elpidius overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Elpidius looks to land a strike but Mercury avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Eustace Elpidius has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Elpidius working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eustace Elpidius. I think Mercury has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
