Duke Dukerson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Barnes punishes Dukerson's body with a nice straight punch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dukerson or perhaps it was just good defense by Barnes, which made it look bad.
Barnes moves away from the strike by Dukerson.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Barnes.
Dukerson lands the left hand.
Dukerson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barnes manages to avoid it.
Dukerson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Barnes lands a leg kick that knocks Dukerson off balance momentarily.
Dukerson drops his hands momentarily. Barnes doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Dukerson staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Dukerson doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

After the fight, Jon Barnes was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

It looks like Stu Pidaso has been cut.
Pidaso dives in for a single leg takedown but Cruz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
As Pidaso looks to move away, Cruz throws a big counter combo but Pidaso just gets out of the way.
Pidaso changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cruz tries to avoid it but Pidaso manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cruz to the ground. Cruz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cruz feints and then cracks Pidaso 's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pidaso down.

Jose Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stu Pidaso .
