We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dos Santos enables Alvarez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dos Santos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Alvarez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Alvarez taps out! Nice BJJ there by Dos Santos!

In his post fight interview, Junior Dos Santos started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kwiwan Fogomayu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayde West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fogomayu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kyamadu. West comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sober kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

West forces Fogomayu back against the cage and clinches.
West is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Fogomayu lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Fogomayu has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Fogomayu tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Fogomayu lands a left hand that snaps the head of West backwards.

West breaks the clinch.
West throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Koreshkov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
