Bedlaminov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Call to Arms. A momentary lapse in concentration from Myres enables Toivonen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Myres manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Myres working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Toivonen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Myres is tightening it up a little... Toivonen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Toivonen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Toivonen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Myres!

Shane Myres decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
McFukur misses with a two punch combination.
Jack attempts a counter takedown but McFukur avoids it well and moves away.

McFukur feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
