Hennig comes to the cage accompanied by Our Lady Peace - Whatever. Lancier has chosen Hate Me Now as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Hennig darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Hennig feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Lancier takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hennig lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lancier's sensitive parts.

Hennig throws a big shot that misses.
Lancier throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hennig displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lancier throws out the jab.

Lancier shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
We've been hearing reports that Hennig has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
