and MacAiken counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tuilagi thinking.
Tuilagi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
MacAiken tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Tuilagi counters with a slapping leg kick.
MacAiken throws a sloppy head kick and Tuilagi moves out of range easily.
We've been informed that MacAiken has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tuilagi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tuilagi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Tuilagi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed MacAiken's head.
Tuilagi wants to lay and pray for a moment but MacAiken keeps working.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tuilagi connects with a nice short shot to MacAiken's temple.

Tuilagi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
MacAiken is staying active underneath Tuilagi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Manu Tuilagi just wasn't active enough.

Tuilagi throws a strike aimed at the side of MacAiken's head but MacAiken avoids it well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
