The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shine walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bag checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Bag throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bag showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Shine.
No joy there for Shine, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shine misses with a jab to the body
and Bag counters with a left to the body.
Nice shot lands for Bag.
Bag misses the shot to the body.
Shine tries a head kick but it misses.
Shine throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bag sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Shine tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bag throws a right and a left that Shine avoids nicely.
Shine works Bag's body with a nice hook.
Sun Shine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shine gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shine throws a jab but it's blocked by Bag.
Bag looks to score with a jab to the body but Shine is just out of range.
Bag scores with a hook to the body. Shine takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Shine blocks the body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shine crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bag - the referee stops the clock and Shine gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bag. Shine manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Bag swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Bag takes a swing at Shine's ribcage but misses.

Shine throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Shine scores with a sloppy right hand. Bag should have avoided that one.
Shine lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bag circles away quickly and effectively.
Bag punishes Shine's body with a nice straight punch.
Bag throws a jab but it's blocked by Shine.
Shine pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shine takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Shine throws a wild hook but Bag just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Shine gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Bag raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony Bamboni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucky Charm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bamboni might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Ice Ice Baby. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bamboni in particular looking to stall.

Bamboni will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
