and Rector counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mercades tries to work over Rector's front leg with a kick but Rector checks it.
Mercades shoots in but Rector avoids the takedown attempt easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mercades looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rector with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Mercades has control of Rector's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rector regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Chambers drops back looking for a leg! Atom is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Atom manages to kick Chambers off! Chambers jumps back into Atom's guard.

Chambers wants to pass the guard but Atom is keeping the position.

Chambers decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Atom, up you get!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Danny Ochoa!

Danny Ochoa decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
